Norfolk Blood Bikes primary purpose is to transport urgent or emergency blood & blood products, between hospitals and other designated sites as part of the Alliance’s Blood Transfusion Service.
Norfolk Blood Bikes is registered with the UK Charity Commission and was formed, in 2011, to fulfil the need of an ‘out of hours’ transport service for blood, samples and any other items that need to be carried between these locations.
Some of you may have attended or recall a previous presentation by the ‘Blood Bikers’ back in September 2019. That turned out to be a fascinating evening but as it was five years ago, I thought it was time for an update. So, thanks to our chairman for his contacts with this one and I am sure that Sandy will provide us with a fascinating evening detailing the work carried out by this valuable group.
