Road Champion
IAM Roadsmart are offering 17 to 26 year olds a free online course to help them become more confident and skilful drivers and riders. The course is called "Road Champion" and can be accessed here.

The Norfolk and Norwich Advanced Group of Motorists was formed in 1966 and is a Registered Charity. It is affiliated to IAMRoadSmart, formally known as the Institute of Advanced Motorists, the largest organisation in the UK promoting road safety and advanced driving/riding.

The group aims to promote road safety awareness and improve driving standards within the County of Norfolk and to assist members of the public to prepare for the Advanced Driving or Riding Test.

Our members are all keen drivers/riders who have passed their Advanced Test themselves and want to help other people achieve the same, having seen the benefits it gives us a road user. With the aid of the IAMRoadSmart Course Logbook included in the Advanced Driver/Rider package if you join, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience we can pass on to improve your driving/riding.

We have a Car Section and a Motorcycle Section, both with very good track records in preparing people for the Advanced Test.

In addition to helping motorists and motorcyclists prepare for and pass their advanced test, the group holds social events every month. These include a social meeting, with a guest speaker, motorcycle ride-outs and other special events, meetings and visits.

We also produce a quarterly magazine to keep members up to date with hints, tips and advice.

As a Registered Charity, we are run by volunteers. Nobody within the Norfolk & Norwich Group is paid for the services they provide.

Ian Cain, our Chairman, along with the rest of our Committee members, would be very pleased to welcome you at one of our events, whether it be to join our group or to answer any questions that you may have about the group or advanced driving/riding in general.

We wish you happy and safe motoring and motorcycling.
