Nine expectant bikers met on a glorious Sunday morning for a ride to sunny Suffolk. One group of four and one of five. I was leading the group of five.
Elke had kindly posted the route on the WhatsApp group and I had diligently loaded it onto my SatNav, fingers crossed that the SatNav would behave itself. For anyone who knows me well, I have had more than my share of Oh ***t SatNav moments.
I needn't have worried as we were soon whizzing along on a mixture of sweeping A&B roads, some familiar but most unfamiliar to me. No gravel or grass growing up the middle of the roads (unlike most of my routes).
That's the good bit! Now the not-so-good bit... being unfamiliar with our destination, I missed the turn for the Café and, being totally unaware, carried on. In my defence, I was still following the route on the SatNav. Eventually, we could go no further; the North Sea was before us!
A cracking ride and one I'd definitely do again.
Thanks to all for joining us on a great day out.
